Terry Coombes 1940 to
1990
Terry was a " biker " in every way you can
describe. He was the director of A.B.A.T.E. northwestern Ontario, and the
Chairman of the Ride for Sight in Northwestern Ontario. He was also a
member of the Retreads of Northwestern Ontario. He was always ready to
give you a part for your bike as long as you promised to help the next guy
when you knew he needed it. He was instrumental in organizing the Ice-
Breaker run as the first major ride of the season as a fund raiser for the
Kinsmen Cistic Fibrosis Telethon.
This same ride is now known as the "Terry Coombes Memorial Ice
Breaker Run " in his memory |

Terry had a passion for motorcycles and is seen here on his
" 45 Harley-Davidson" in the Shrine Circus parade that the
Retreads take part in even to this day.
No helmet law during a parade, so he and Ed took advantage of the freedom |
