Ride for Sight

Marie.  Oh what could 8 people do to amuse themselves in a motel room for 2 days - give them lazer flashlights and their imaginations. Tormenting waiters at restaurants  may not always work - right Rick?  Also, Nick should watch out for any open gashes.  They left

Sault Ste. Marie after the second day, it rained sporadically on the way home.  Don & Pam decided to go to the Ride for Sight in Schreiber to hand  in their donations.  Don was quite happy with the new watch that he received as a gift for raising $600.

Craig & Glenna, Don & Pam, Nick & Sue and Rick & Leah all ventured out to attend the Collingwood Ride For Sight.  Well, at least they tried - getting as far as Bruce Mines - they sat there for two hours waiting for the rain to stop - then decided to go back to Sault Ste.

Christmas Party & Elections

The Christmas Party took place at the Prime Cut Restaurant in Marathon on Saturday December, 7, 2002.  Members arrived at 7:00 p.m. for cocktails and meals were ordered at 8:30     p.m.
A gift exchange took place after the supper and door prizes were drawn.  Winners of the door prizes were:

It was unfortunate that only seven members were able to attend the party - it is a challenge to schedule an event during December - people were either out of town Christmas shopping or their company was having their Christmas party on the same night.  We won't always be able to schedule events to accommodate everyone - but organizers do the best they can.
Voting ballots were sent out with a stamped and addressed return envelope with the Christmas flyer and  12 ballots were returned.  There were not enough
